Apparently, the folks at del.icio.us had a power failure on the 14th and are still having problems. I guess this is the one downfall of public services. Once you get addicted to them and you can’t get to your resources, you wish they were home safe on your machine.

The nice thing about many of the new web apps (del.icio.us included) is that they make it easy to get your data in and out. del.icio.us has an export feature that allows you to extract your links and the associated meta-data in html format. You could simply write a small script for extract your data on a regular basis and place it under version control. Just my 2 cents. I hope your enjoying your vacation.
